About the spot

Windhaan stands at the eastern end of De Haan's promenade, Zeedijk 50. Its marked watersports corridor leads into the open North Sea. Chop, breaking waves and shifting banks suit competent freeriders, while beginners can arrange club instruction.

A compressor, rinsing facilities, showers and lockers support visiting riders. Non-members are asked to register before kiting. Rescue support depends on its conditions and the area being supervised. Leave enough room for launching, landing and other beach users, particularly when high tide reduces the available sand.
