About the spot

Outside is on the sea beach at Koningin Astridlaan, west of central Oostende. Riders encounter surf and tidal coastal water, with limited launch space among other beach activities. The club's Inside base at Spuikom is a separate inland waterbody and is not an alternative kite launch.

The club introduced kite instruction in August 2026. Its announcement limits lessons to members with additional kite insurance, so beginners should arrange eligibility and instruction beforehand. Independent riding requires a reliable return, clearance from groynes and an understanding of the local entry zone.
