About the spot

Club North occupies Zeebrugge beach at the former Icarus venue. Its broad sandy teaching beach has no groynes and provides space for supervised learning. Lessons begin in spring when weather and water temperature allow; riding independently still requires open-sea skills.

The kite section lies west of the supervised town beach. Harbour infrastructure and bathing buffers limit the usable area despite the extensive sand. Tides alter the walk to the water, depth and launch space. Ask the club about the current corridor and rescue coverage; harbour basins are not flat-water riding areas.

An exceptionally demanding specialist spot for pro-level riders. Extreme spot hazards require precise control, local knowledge and agreed safety support.
