About the spot

Kranevo has an open sandy beach north of Varna. The local kite guide lists easterly to southerly conditions, so expect chop, wind waves and surf in stronger onshore wind. This marker follows the local guide at Kranevo; an older directory point was incorrectly located farther north near Kavarna.

The beach is also a bathing venue. Ride only from clear, locally agreed launch space and bring suitable experience for strong shorebreak. Nearby dunes and Baltata habitat require existing access routes and care around sensitive areas.
