About the spot

Canidelo is an exposed stretch of coast south of Porto. Documented kite use concerns a wave spot with rocks and coastal structures, rather than a sheltered part of the Douro. Even in summer northerly winds, breaking waves can dominate entry and exit.

The spot is an option for experienced independent riders. Higher water can conceal rocks and reduce beach space. The map point identifies the coastal area; it does not establish a permanently clear launch or a teaching venue.
