About the spot

Eching lies on Ammersee’s northern shore with shallows and a small gravel entry. It is used in easterly weather, though land-crossing wind can be uneven. The grass behind the shore does not imply clear launching space during summer swimming.

Independent riding requires upwind ability and controlled assisted launches. Avoid swimmers, reeds and boat routes; check current shore rules and seasonal bird-protection arrangements locally. Choose another access when crowded or lacking line clearance.
