About the spot

Baltrum’s north beach faces the open North Sea. Sand and offshore banks provide wave conditions that strengthen rapidly with wind. This small island venue requires consideration for other beach users and a controlled surf return.

The legal north-beach kite area opens three hours after sunrise. Use only designated sports sections and avoid bathing and protected areas. Confirm current beach rules with the local centre; island tips and shipping channels are not alternative riding areas.
