Heidkate lies on the Probstei Baltic coast. Sandbanks provide nearshore shallows while northerlies build waves outside. Groynes divide the beach and reduce clear space for launches and returns.

Lighter wind calms the water but does not remove obstacles. Identify the designated kite section and groynes before riding. Leave wide clearance around swimmers and other watersports users; strong shorebreak requires experience.
