About the spot

Schaabe is a long east-facing sandy coast between Wittow and Jasmund. Northeast through southeast winds provide wave conditions. The standing strip is narrow and shorebreak can make getting out difficult.

Summer swimmers spread along much of the beach. The marker identifies the approximate venue, not an unrestricted launch point. Respect beach accesses and protected dunes, check the available corridor and launch into surf only with a reliable return plan.
