About the spot

Spiekeroog’s north beach offers sand and exposed North Sea surf. Transporting equipment across the car-free island is part of the planning. Stronger wind makes launches and returns through waves much harder than on sheltered tidal flats.

The legal north-beach kite area opens three hours after sunrise. Use only designated sports sections and avoid bathing and protected areas. Confirm current beach rules with the local centre; island tips and shipping channels are not alternative riding areas.
