About the spot

K4 lies on Sylt’s west coast north of Hörnum. Known for exposed North Sea waves, it changes with sandbanks, tide and alongshore current. Surf can be powerful at the beach itself.

This is not a sheltered learning venue. Use the current sports section and access, protect dunes and separate from swimmers. Ensure a controlled landing remains possible with rising tide or increasing shorebreak.
