Wenningstedt accesses Sylt’s open west coast with sand and North Sea waves. Tide, banks and current shape the venue. Stronger onshore wind makes shorebreak launches suitable for experienced riders only.

The long beach is not entirely open to kiting. Check current sports and bathing sections and avoid groynes and coastal structures. A clear landing area must remain available as the tide rises.
