About the spot

Tossens accesses the tidal side of western Butjadingen. A designated area permits riding around high tide; the marker shows its approximate water location. The actual beach launch must be checked separately.

The legal window spans three hours either side of high tide. Swimming activity and hardened shores restrict launches. Return in time on the ebb and do not assume that shallow flats provide jumping depth.

Extensive experience with difficult launches, surf, currents or obstacles is required. Little room for riding or judgement errors.
Skill level: Pro
An exceptionally demanding specialist spot for pro-level riders. Extreme spot hazards require precise control, local knowledge and agreed safety support.
