About the spot

Upleward is a demanding East Frisian tidal access. A narrow hardened shoreline, slippery surfaces and dyke turbulence require confident kite control. It does not provide a broad beginner launch.

Kiteclub Ostfriesland manages access. Guests need club permission and must meet its published ability and access requirements. Contact the club before travelling; visible watersports activity or open water does not establish unrestricted entry.

An exceptionally demanding specialist spot for pro-level riders. Extreme spot hazards require precise control, local knowledge and agreed safety support.
