Zinnowitz is an exposed wave venue, especially in strong easterlies. The published sports beach is at entrance Q beside Hotel Baltic towards Trassenheide. Limited shallows make launches demanding in stronger surf.

Summer crowds restrict space. Confirm the permitted kite section and adequate room for lines; bathing zones remain off limits. A later time of day does not guarantee permission. Beginners should choose tuition or a sheltered lagoon rather than independent strong-wind attempts.
