About the spot

Weidefeld lies south of the Schlei mouth on the open Baltic. Easterlies create waves; strong shorebreak and nearby breakwaters can make entry demanding. The local tourism authority confirms kite use.

Summer swimmers and current sports zoning limit launch space. Ride outside swimming areas, well clear of breakwaters and harbour approaches. Strong Baltic surf is unsuitable for first independent attempts despite occasional shallow sections.
