About the spot
O Bao lies near the bridge to A Illa de Arousa and is used seasonally within the estuary. Southerly and southeasterly wind are locally documented. Do not confuse it with O Vao in Vigo, which has a different setting and wind exposure.
Sheltered water can support freeriding, but tides and swimming activity limit usable space. Check the full return route before launching, especially in stronger onshore wind. Beginners need suitable supervised sessions. Unrestricted summer kite access is not established.
Access & local notes
Check current seasonal access with the local school. Do not launch on a crowded swimming beach; keep well clear of the bridge and its approaches.
