About the spot

Gurugú is an established watersports beach north of Castelló harbour. Regional tourism information identifies northeast and east winds, while documented Formula Kite events confirm actual use. The beach faces the open Mediterranean rather than permanently sheltered flat water.

Freeriders need a clear launch and ample distance from swimmers. Strong easterly wind can make the shorebreak difficult. Competition use does not establish unrestricted everyday access. Beginners should use supervised instruction; independent riders need to follow the designated zone and manage their return through the surf.
