About the spot

Cesantes lies in sheltered San Simón Bay at the inner end of the Ría de Vigo. The local kite club describes thermally enhanced wind and predominantly flat water, making it useful for freeriding and lessons without necessarily being easy at the shoreline.

Launching can be gusty, and the club calls for a minimum level of experience. Tides alter beach space and depth. School groups and independent riders share the usable sections. Conflicting directional descriptions leave the wind filter unverified rather than presenting a potentially misleading default.
