About the spot

The Río Salado mouth south of Los Bateles is Conil's seasonal kite area. Westerly and southerly winds reach the open sandy coast, while the mouth can provide calmer patches depending on water level and shifting sand.

Surf and coastal currents remain relevant outside. Progressing riders need ample separation from swimmers and other water users; beginners need supervised instruction. The river mouth is not a reliably filled flatwater lagoon. The local operator primarily describes use outside the summer bathing season.
