About the spot
El Burro, also called Glass Beach, lies south of Flag Beach and has a substantially more demanding wave profile. Northwesterly wind can combine with powerful, steeper waves. Rocky bottom and a limited sandy entry shape sessions more than the attractive beach scenery suggests.
This is for experienced wave kiters with dependable self-rescue. Low water exposes further obstacles, and a shorebreak mistake can push rider and equipment onto rocks. Beginners and flatwater-only riders should choose another spot. Do not assume continuous rescue coverage.
Access & local notes
Inspect the entry and reef at the relevant tide before launching. Separate from windsurfers and surfers; do not ride without a viable return.
