About the spot

Matas Blancas near Costa Calma is a flatwater location managed by the local centre. Its sheltered bay does not depend on the Sotavento lagoon filling. The operator explicitly describes the trade wind as cross-offshore.

Calm water only becomes a teaching advantage when organised support is in place. The centre offers instruction and boat or jetski rescue, but coverage and actual operation must be confirmed before riding. Offshore wind is unsuitable for independent riders without that arrangement. The trade-wind direction is therefore not included as a generally suitable filter value.
