About the spot
San Bruno occupies the western end of Isla Canela beside the Guadiana estuary. Tidal sandbanks can create shallow, sheltered water, while other stages expose riders to Atlantic chop and surf. Westerly sea breezes are the more useful starting point for planning a session.
Lessons and freeriding are possible when depth, wind and space align. Estuary currents and structures hidden by rising water require local knowledge. The shallow pools should not be treated as a permanent enclosed lagoon.
