About the spot

Casita Azul is an established kite beach east of Isla Cristina. Spring and summer sea breezes can reinforce west and southwest winds. Sandbars soften the surf in places, but the water beyond their shelter remains exposed to the Atlantic.

Progressing riders need manageable shorebreak and sufficient depth over the banks. Low water can leave very shallow channels, while a rising tide reduces beach space. Beginners should use a school to select the usable area for that day's conditions.
