About the spot

La Arena at Zierbena and Muskiz is an exposed wave beach west of Bilbao. The kite guide describes northwesterly wind as an onshore option, mainly outside the busy summer bathing period. Lower water generally provides more space than high tide.

Surf and currents make the spot demanding, with potentially powerful shorebreak at high water. It suits experienced wave kiters better than independent beginners. Existing surfing activities do not establish a general kite-teaching permission. Confirm current local access before rigging.
