La Espasa near Caravia is an established kite and windsurf beach on the Asturian coast. Northeast wind suits its orientation. Exposed Atlantic water brings chop or waves depending on swell; a quiet summer forecast and a winter storm require very different assessments.

Competent freeriders and wave kiters need a clear launch with manageable surf. Beginners should enter only with supervision and appropriate wave conditions. Tides affect beach space. A watersports corridor does not establish permission to use surrounding swimming areas.
