About the spot

La Rubina lies between Empuriabrava and Santa Margarida in the Gulf of Roses. A local school uses the designated kite zone. Southeasterly sea breeze can be favourable, whereas northerly Tramuntana can be offshore here and is not a general beginner recommendation.

Conditions range from chop to surf depending on wind and swell. Launching is limited to the permitted section. Beginners need supervised lessons; independent riders need a reliable return route and adequate separation. Adjacent wetlands do not provide additional watersports space.
