About the spot

Los Monteros is Marbella's designated area for kite and other wind-powered watersports. Poniente can support freeriding, while stronger wind creates chop and surf. Its position on a resort beach makes separation from swimmers essential.

The local operator describes a marked zone with seasonal operation, so planning is mainly useful outside the summer closure. Beginners need lessons and suitable daily conditions; a launch channel alone does not make the spot easy. Onshore surf and limited clear launching space can complicate even moderate-wind days.

Isobaras lists 15 June–15 September as the period without kite-zone operation. Check the current permission and channel before travelling.
