Lourido near Poio is a teaching location in the Ría de Pontevedra. The inner estuary is more sheltered from Atlantic swell than the outer wave beaches. Local lessons confirm kite use, while wind and tide determine the usable section.

Beginners should take supervised sessions because calm water says little about wind at the launch. Progressing riders need a clear return route and enough depth across shallow sections. Stronger wind can produce chop. No general wind direction is shown as verified without a clear connection to the launch.
