About the spot

Playa del Rey at Mareny de Barraquetes is a natural sandy beach with a local kite and windsurf club. Barraquetes Vent documents organised use of the watersports section. This dune-backed coast offers open Mediterranean water and freeriding in suitable weather.

The club area and swimming zones must remain separate. Strong onshore wind can create surf and a difficult return; beach width alone does not establish beginner suitability. Confirm current access requirements and suitable wind directions with the club before rigging equipment.
