About the spot

Cala Tirant is Menorca's well-known northerly wave spot. Onshore Tramuntana can create much stronger conditions than a summer sea breeze. Rocky edges and development frame the beach sections.

Appropriate days interest experienced wave kiters; beginners need small conditions and qualified supervision. Gusts, shorebreak and inadequate shoreline clearance can rule out a session, regardless of the forecast. The launch must remain within the currently permitted area, with swimmers and other beach users kept clear.

Access & local notes

Observe summer launch/landing zones and buoys. Strong Tramuntana is unsuitable for beginners; do not assume rescue support.
