About the spot

A Mexilloeira lies on the northern side of the O Grove peninsula and is used by a local kite school. Northerly wind sectors suit its exposure; water within the Ría de Arousa is generally more sheltered than the open Atlantic.

Tides and available launching space shape this natural beach. Shallow sections can become unusable at low water, and stronger wind creates chop. Beginners should take lessons, while independent riders need a local briefing. The lagoon and vegetation behind the beach are not riding areas.
