About the spot

Riumar faces the open Mediterranean on the Ebro Delta. The sandy beach is used for kite lessons but differs substantially from sheltered Trabucador: surf, currents and shifting sandbanks are part of session planning.

Supervised teaching is possible with small waves and suitable wind. Strong wind or larger swell makes this an experienced-rider location. Wind arriving from inland can create unfavourable offshore angles, so a blanket northwesterly recommendation would be misleading. Choose the launch and return route for the actual conditions.
