About the spot

Foz do Lizandro is an exposed wave beach south of Ericeira. Rocks bound the sandy beach at both ends. This entry concerns the Atlantic off the river mouth, not a sheltered flat-water area in the Lizandro.

Kite use is described; independent sessions require reliable upwind riding and surf experience. Swell can substantially change conditions. The broad beach can also conceal limited usable space between swimmers, surf lessons and rocks. An uncertain wind angle or difficult exit makes the spot unsuitable.

Access & local notes

Confirm the launch locally and keep clear of rocks and river outflow. Do not launch into occupied surf areas; reassess water level and the exit before each session.
