About the spot

Doussard lies at the southern end of Lake Annecy, where northerly winds are used for kitesurfing. The access sits between the harbour and nature reserve. Limited shoreline space and deeper water require more control than an open standing-depth area.

The FFVL record prohibits kitesurfing in July and August. Keep reed beds and protected areas clear outside those months as well. Boats and possible paragliding safety-training water landings share the area. Check gusts, launch space and current rules each session; this is not an independent beginner recommendation.
