About the spot

Mayotte lies on the southeastern shore of Lake Cazaux-Sanguinet near Biscarrosse. Extensive shallow margins can suit twin-tip freeriding and supervised first rides in appropriate northwest wind. The same limited depth is a major restriction for foils.

Pedestrian access near the campsite must be confirmed beforehand; the pin does not authorise crossing private ground. Swimming and summer restrictions constrain launching. Check permission, safe return and remaining depth before rigging. The lake depends on actual wind and does not guarantee a thermal breeze.
