About the spot
Bonne Anse near La Palmyre is an almost enclosed tidal bay. Middle to high water creates sheltered freeriding and teaching areas. Falling water increasingly leaves only a narrow channel; extensive beach does not imply usable depth.
The outlet can carry a strong seaward current and should be avoided. Old stakes, oyster installations and the harbour wall are additional obstacles. A designated summer kite area has reduced launch space at high tide. Learners should have a school select both timing and launch.
Access & local notes
Avoid the outlet current; check the kite zone, remaining depth and obstacles before launching.
