About the spot

Boulogne's town beach lies in a bay shaped by harbour structures. Wimkite uses the roadstead as an alternative to more exposed beaches when wind and tide suit. Its sheltered character can help teaching, but does not make the entire harbour bay available for kiting.

Swimming areas, navigation routes and fixed structures leave less room for error than an open ocean beach. Visitors should confirm the active launch with the school. Independent launching needs clear local access guidance and a dependable return route.
