About the spot

Pont des Basses is on the sea side between Canet and Saint-Cyprien, opposite the fishing village. The school describes a designated kite area with summer thermal conditions and stronger swell during winter weather. The sea offers freeriding and wind-dependent waves.

Kitesurfing is prohibited on the lagoon behind the beach. Tramontane can blow offshore; smooth water then does not justify an unsupported launch. Crowding leads schools to teach from boats as well. Respect the marked beach area, swimmers and protected dune surroundings.
