About the spot

Capu Laurosu is the long sandy beach south of Propriano at the Rizzanese mouth. Westerly to northwesterly conditions are described for the spot. Strong wind builds waves in the gulf; this exposed setting differs from a supervised flat-water lagoon.

Avoid the river mouth and its current. A kite-rider rescue has been documented here, so organised kite recovery must not be assumed. Only experienced independent riders should launch after locally checking access, surf and return options. Keep clear of swimmers and protected shore areas.
