About the spot

Malo-les-Bains is Dunkerque's established kite area, with the Dunkerque Flysurfing Club providing local guidance. The long sandy beach offers considerable space at lower tide. Northwest through northeast winds approach from the sea, while sandbanks change the chop and waves as the tide turns.

The entire beach is not an unrestricted launch area. Summer swimming zones and the separation between lessons and independent riders matter. Instruction is available, but beginners still need supervision and must avoid offshore wind.
