About the spot

Fromentine's Grande Côte offers varied freeriding in south through northwest winds. Lower water can create flatter sections behind sandbanks. The beach narrows on the rising tide, while the nearby passage generates strong tidal flow.

The designated kite launch is to the right of the beach access. Keep out of the harbour exit and Île d’Yeu ferry route. Larger tides or swell demand a dependable return. Instruction is available, but even apparently flat water here requires a local briefing.
