About the spot

La Ganguise reservoir is influenced by southeasterly Autan and northwesterly Tramontane. Surrounding hills often create gusty wind. The described kite access is near Le Cathare and differs from the general sailing-base entrance.

The partly sloping launch requires excellent kite control. Private land needs confirmed permission; establish current lake and zoning rules with the operator or local riders beforehand. This is not a beginner spot. Strong wind, changing water level and difficult return conditions require conservative day selection.
