About the spot

Schools reach the area south of Passage du Gois by boat. Sandbanks and shallow water allow supervised teaching at suitable tides, particularly in northerly and easterly winds. This entry identifies the teaching area within the bay.

The tidal road is neither a launch nor a dependable return route. Access, equipment transport and recovery form part of the operator's arrangement. Depth and current change considerably outside the appropriate tidal window. Visitors should use an agreed boat transfer and avoid attempting their own crossing on foot.

Boat-supported teaching area: arrange access and recovery beforehand; do not launch from the Gois road.
