About the spot

Hardelot has a long sandy Côte d’Opale beach, with lessons operating around the Georges Pernoud watersports base. At lower tide, banks may form shallower, calmer pools. A rising tide brings more waves and a more demanding entry.

Westerly weather is the main setup; easterly wind blows out to sea. Swimming areas, boat access and the kite launch must remain separate. Identify the teaching zone on arrival and ask for a local briefing before an independent first session.
