About the spot

Le Mérou is the regulated kite access on Hyères' eastern side and an alternative to Almanarre in easterly wind. Launching space is limited. The municipal corridor provides direct passage from the beach to water beyond the 300-metre coastal zone.

Jumping or lingering in the corridor is prohibited; side buffer areas remain clear. Beach starts are for experienced riders, while beginners launch from school boats. Leave promptly after launching and follow the beach marshal's instructions. La Bergerie is not an automatically authorised alternative.
