About the spot

Jonville at Pointe de Saire changes markedly with wind direction. East and southeast bring waves; southerly wind produces chop. In northeast wind, the launch in front of Le Goéland can work at low to mid water, while higher water creates substantial wind shadow according to the club.

This is not easy flat water in every wind. With west or southwest, ebb current can carry riders offshore. Keep clear of rocks, buoys and moorings. CNPS advises staying inside the bay and matching the launch to the tide.
