About the spot

Lacanau-Ville's kite access is on the eastern lakeshore north of the harbour. Documented winds extend from south through west to northwest. The fresh-water setting provides an alternative to Atlantic surf, but riding must remain within the designated kite area.

A summer access corridor bypasses the swimming zone. Rocky alios bottom, trees and irregular wind require controlled launching. The breeze can fade markedly towards evening. Plan an early return and distinguish this access from the teaching area on the opposite shore.
