About the spot

Super Sud is the designated kite section south of Lacanau-Océan. Summer northwest wind and suitable southwesterlies reach this open Atlantic shore. Waves, shorebreak and current primarily suit experienced riders with reliable surf skills.

Marked summer launch and riding areas separate kiters from swimmers and surf lessons. High water reduces dune clearance, while directly onshore west wind can make getting out difficult. A flat patch behind a sandbank is not a safe beginner lagoon. Check current flags, sandbanks and return options locally.
