Le Crotoy

About the spot

Le Crotoy lies in the Somme estuary and offers shallow freeriding water around a suitable high tide. Much of the area dries at low water. Banks, channels and rapidly changing depth therefore determine the session window.

Use the northern beach sector. The municipality prohibits board sports in front of the built seafront, which cannot serve as an alternative launch. Beginners need instruction. Independent riders must plan their return before falling water removes the usable riding area.
